IT'S MY FIRST TIME AT HARMONY, WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

First and foremost, welcome to Harmony Studios! Your well-being is a priority for us. Here are some need-to-know details, but please be sure to read all of the FAQs and if you don't find the answer you're looking for, please reach out!

• The studio door is kept locked at all times. You will be granted entry 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. If you arrive early, you are welcome to wait in the building lobby. If you arrive late, please ring the bell.
• Please sign in on the attendance sheet upon entering the studio.
• Grip socks are required for all group classes.
• Please bring only essential belongings into the class areas. All personal items must be stowed away in a locker or cubby and out of sight while in class. Aside from water bottles, please no outside food or beverages.
• Although it’s tempting, we ask that you minimize lingering in the studio when finished, and please do not stop to chat or congregate in the locker area. Please enjoy your socializing with your trainer and/or other clients in the building lobby or outside.
• Everyone permitted entry must have a scheduled appointment or class, so please no guests or children waiting in the studio.
• As a courtesy to other clients, please silence your phone before you walk into the studio. If you need to make a call or text, please step outside the building so that you do not disturb sessions in progress.

• As much as we'd love to meet your babies, please leave kiddos and furry friends at home.
• All scheduling, payments, and any other studio management needs are handled online. We do not accept cash for transactions and all inquiries or special requests should be made in an email.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Luckily there is ample street parking in our little pocket of WeHo. Metered parking is available in front of the building and on side streets. Unmetered spots can be found on our cross streets, Alfred or Croft. just south of the studio -– read all the signs to check for street cleaning days, etc. Additionally, there is a public parking lot two blocks east on Santa Monica Blvd that offers complimentary parking for the first hour.

DOES MY SERIES HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?

WHAT IS YOU RETURN POLICY?

We will issue Harmony account credit only for any returns on services. Regular Harmony series are also transferable if you would like to share with someone else. If you choose to take advantage of one of our special offers, then there will be a defined expiration date dependent on the terms of the offer, and no credit is offered for expired special offers. For hygiene reasons, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for any equipment or apparel purchases.

DO YOU HAVE A REFERRAL OR REWARDS PROGRAM?

IT'S MY FIRST TIME DOING PILATES, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Welcome to Harmony! Trying something new can be a bit scary, but we'll do our best to make sure you feel comfortable and energized for your workout.

Here are a few tips:

• Arrive on time! Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled class.

• Talk to us!  Advise the teacher of anything going on that day that may impact your workout. This can be anything from a full-blown injury to minor aches and pains, or maybe you just didn't sleep enough last night!

• Ask questions!  Be sure to take a look at the other FAQs for any questions you may have and if you don't find the answer you're looking for, feel free to reach out!

• Schedule a one-on-one session!  Although not required, a private session can make you feel more at ease.  Not only does it allow you to become familiar with the equipment, exercises, and teacher but it allows us to get to know your body and how it works before we see you in a group setting.  The more information we have, the better we will be able to create modifications and variations to make sure you have the best possible experience.

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I STILL DO PILATES?

Yes! Many of our instructors are trained in pre and post-natal protocols. Although Pilates is safe to do during pregnancy because it is gentle on the joints, strengthens the deep abdominals and pelvic floor, we suggest you consider opting for private instruction. We request that you consult with your doctor before you begin any exercise program and if possible introduce Pilates early in your pregnancy.  Please tell your instructor if you are pregnant, so modifications can be provided during your workout.

WHAT IF I AM OUT OF SHAPE OR INJURED?

• Starting a new routine?  You don't have to be flexible or "in-shape" to start Pilates.  We all started from zero and we'd love to help you work on your flexibility, strength, and desired fitness level.  We offer modifications to many exercises and encourage you to move at your own pace.
• Be sure to let us know about any injuries, changes in your body, or special conditions PRIOR to your workout.  Pilates is an excellent rehabilitative exercise program and we are here to help, and the only way we can assist you with modifications during your class is if we are aware of your personal history.
• We can accommodate many types of injuries or concerns as long as you have been cleared by your physician for regular exercise.

WHAT ARE YOUR COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you safe in our studio.

If fully vaccinated, masks are optional. We understand that some of you will prefer to keep your mask on while in the studio, so we ask that everyone please continue to be respectful of one another while moving about the space. Clients must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative test result within 48 hours of entry in order to attend all sessions and classes.

We are continuing to use hospital-grade disinfectant to clean the studio as well as updated protocols to align with the LA Co Health Department and CDC guidelines.
Although trainers and staff will be keeping the studio clean, we kindly ask that you assist by wiping down any equipment that was used by you during your class or session. The iWave negative ion air scrubber purification system has been installed in the studio HVAC system, as well as regular use of the Protexus electrostatic sanitizing spray system.

Anyone attending the studio must practice personal responsibility and be aware of the additional risks presented by COVID-19. For those in a higher risk category or who may take care of someone who is, we understand returning to the studio may not be the right decision at this time. We are asking everyone to please sign the updated waiver & user agreement prior to returning to the studio and provide proof of vaccination upon your first visit back.

If you are feeling unwell, notify the studio and STAY HOME.

If you (or anyone in your household) are experiencing or have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, or have come into contact with someone who has or may have the virus, we ask that you do not come to the studio and to self-quarantine per CDC guidelines.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are awaiting test results, or have been knowingly exposed/come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the studio for 10 days or until you have tested negative for COVID-19.  If there is a case of COVID-19 reported in the studio that coincides with a recent visit, we will notify you immediately.
