Happy Friday! Remember to stretch when your warm and don’t over do it. Stretch to the point of “gentle tension” for 20 seconds.... and your body will thank you! In Pilates, the stretching is built in the workout. Have a great weekend and hope you’re having a happy new year!

We are collecting your gently used purses filled with toiletries and comfort items to donate to those in need this holiday season.  

Before you clean out your closets and throw unwanted things out, consider donating a used purse filled with necessities for women in need.
This holiday season Harmony Studios will be hosting a donation drive and collection to provide gently-used purses filled with toiletries, beauty items, feminine & oral hygiene products, first aid items and more for those in the Los Angeles area.
Come to our donation drive event for Project Purse! It will be held at Harmony Studios on Sat, Dec 16 from 10 am til 1pm.
 
If you plan to attend, please bring a purse you'd like to donate and one or more of the items listed or anything else you think of that might be helpful for those in need. Or just come to help stuff purses!
If you can’t make it, you are welcome to drop off donations at the studio anytime between now and then.  ❤️ If you just want to donate a purse we’ll take it! Or if you don't have a purse to donate but still want to participate: donations of any toiletries and suggested personal items will be accepted and greatly appreciated.  
 
Products needed include: 
• toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, etc. 
• hygienic & health items: feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, tissues, first aid, etc. 
• beauty & hair care products: hair ties, bobby pins, chapstick, baby powder, etc. 
• other products: pens, small note pads, snack bars, etc. 
• apparel items: purses, socks, underwear, scarves, jackets, blankets, etc.

WHY IS SIDE-BENDING SO IMPORTANT?

The internal obliques and external obliques are responsible for lateral flexion. They, along with your transverse abdominal, stabilize your torso against the movement of your limbs. Strengthening these muscles will help prevent back pain and enhance your performance in many sports, including golf and tennis. Make sure to include lateral flexion in each workout to promote overall balance of your musculature. Or just head into a class at Harmony!
